Noelle McCarthy was born in Galway, Ireland, growing up in many of the smaller rural towns throughout Ireland - Clifden in Connemara, New Ross, Co. Wexford and spending her teenage years in Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny.
She always had a keen interest in art from drawing to painting and considered Art College, but realized her longing to travel by participating in a Young Worker Cultural Exchange Program in Paris - living in a French Chateau, schooling in French and working in a Parisienne office. After catching the travel bug, she set off on a hitch hiking adventure around Europe with a friend for a few months, followed by working in London and then embarking on a part round the world trip, traveling Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Thailand and working and backpacking around Australia. All this traveling and experiencing the different cultures of each country was so enriching and freeing and finally satisfied Noelle’s wanderlust.
Her final journey was to the U.S. and she settled in Florida 22 years ago, currently living in Delray Beach. She started attending art classes with a regular group of artist friends at Talin's Tropical Studio in Delray for the past few years, and has been painting ever since.
Noelle feels at home painting and would be happy painting the days away, in touch with wildlife and nature. Color, flow and movement are what she’s drawn to when painting and she tries to capture that in her paintings, some are very peaceful, some a little bold, some a little quirky and some are just pure beauty. Noelle paintings are mainly focused on bringing awareness to threatened and endangered species and protecting their habitat. She looks forward to her future artistic endeavors and continuing to learn new techniques and experiment, hoping to become a better Artist..
